Hi, Friend!

I'm Sam, born and raised in Yankton, SD. I have two brothers, two loving parents, and I’m related to the entire state of South Dakota. Not really, but probably. I graduated from high school in 2013 and joined the Army. I met some of the greatest people and made lifelong friendships. I went back and forth on what I wanted to do with my life and then I decided to go to Stewarts school in Sioux Falls, SD to earn a beauty license. I graduated with my cosmetology license in 2018.

In March of 2021, my husband and I welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Lauren, into this world. She is everything and more. We are so lucky to have such a precious girl! She’s truly handpicked by an angel in heaven.

In my spare time, you can find me tending to my chickens or chasing Lauren! I love to cook new recipes. Pioneer Woman cookbooks are my bibles. I also love to read psychological thrillers, and historical fiction. I could thrift shop all day while sipping an iced coffee with cold foam. Im a fan of Crossfit and I try to get there a couple times a week. I’m a wannabe Cricut maker but practice makes perfect, right? As far are TV goes, I like brain rotting reality shows such as the Bachelor, LIB, and SLOMW. I tried not to fall for the hype but unfortunately failed.

SK Beauty was created to help women continue to feel valued and cared for. After having kids, women lose their sense of self. It’s important we gain that back and not lose it again. Values that surround SK Beauty are integrity, authenticity, and intentionality. When you come to my salon, it’s important you get honesty and raw, real emotion.
