Types of wefts

There is no OSFA when it comes to hair extensions. Everyone’s hair is so different that it’s important to recognize that when picking out which weft would be best for you.

Hand-Tied

Hand-Tied extensions are exactly what it sounds like: the seam is tied by hand. These WILL unravel if you are too harsh with them, and your stylist should NEVER cut them. They are delicate, however they are also comfortable. Great for any hair type.

Slims

Slim wefts are the most popular type of weft. Similar to hand-tied, they are the most comfortable but they CAN be cut on the seam to better fit the head. These are great for all hair types.

Machine Tied

Machines are a well known type of weft. They are recommended by those with course/thicker hair because the band is bulkier than other types because it was sewn together with a machine.

Tape-Ins

Tape ins are a popular pick for those that have short hair. These types of wefts are most commonly used to fill in spaces throughout the head to give the extensions a better blend with the natural hair. They are taped to either side of the natural hair with a 2-3inch piece of weft.

Length Options…

Lengths may vary depending on the type of weft and hair color you are seeking. Available options are 18”, 20”, 22”, 24” & 28”
